Former Black Stars head coach, James Kwesi Appiah, has called for patience from Kumasi Asante Kotoko fans for Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s vision for the club to be fully implemented.

The former Kotoko and Black Stars player made this appeal at the official unveiling Dr. Ogum as head coach of the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2023-2024 BetPawa Ghana Premier League season in September.

Dr. Ogum rolled out his vision of building a youth focused team that was “formidable” and to see this process through, Kwesi Appiah believes patience is needed.

“The intention is to give the coach a free hand and the opportunity to express whatever he wants to be able to impart on the younger ones. So, I will plead with every supporter that they should all bear with us especially the coach.

We are building a team and the vision is to make sure that in the next two years. we are competing at the highest level.”

Kotoko failed to defend its league title and they finished 4th in the 2022/23 Betpawa Ghana Premier League season.
