Table Tennis: Kinful, Aboagye and Gyampo win honours at 2023 GTTA Challenge

Stephen Lord Kinful, Christian Aboagye, and Kwaku Gyampo emerged as champions in three categories at the 2023 GTTA Masters, Seniors, and Celebs Challenge.

The Ghana Table Tennis Association event happened at the Trust Sports Emporium in Bukom.

In the 50 to 59 years group, Christian Aboagye defeated Jason Onyameh in the final with a score of 3-2 in the best-of-five series.

Aboagye had beaten Leo Vanderpuye-Orgle in the semi-finals. Onyameh won against Samuel Amarh Ashitey to reach the final.

For the 40 to 49 years category, Stephen Lord Kinful beat Reuben Charles Pobee Okine to become the champion.

Kinful won against Dr. Alex Ackon and Justice Nkrumah Ninson to reach the final.

Okine defeated Hayford Asiam and Emmanuel Daitey in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.

In the 60 years and over category, Kwaku Gyampo emerged as the champion.

He defeated Richard Laryea 3-1 in the final. Gyampo eliminated Mr. Charles Tachie Menson, while Laryea won against John Daniel Sefa Clottey in the semifinals.

The event was well organized, and Mr. William Berekorang Asare, an International Table Tennis Federation Certified Competition Manager, supervised the proceedings.
