Arsenal left winger Oleksandr Zinchenko has tagged teammate Thomas Partey as the most underrated player in the English Premier League.
He said this in an interview on Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE Podcast, in the build up to this weekend’s showdown between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Arsenal takes on Man United on Sunday, September 3 at the Emirates Stadium with both teams playing far below expectations three games into the season.
Answering a question about the most underrated player in the league, the Ukrainian player who can play as a left full back stated,
“I think Thomas Partey” and picked the former Atletico Madrid player ahead of Man United midfielder Casemiro over who is the better defensive midfielder.
“He’s (Casemiro) an absolutely world class player (winning) five Champions League (titles) but for me if you want me to choose one, Thomas Partey” Zinchenko added.
Like Zinchenko, Partey can play as a full back and has done so in all three Arsenal Premier League games this season.
Zinchenko made his season debut in Arsenal’s frustrating 2-2 draw with Fulham.
