The CEO and founder of iUNGO World, a sports social media platform, Jerry Johnson, says his outfit is committed to promoting basketball in the Ghanaian ecosystem.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports in the aftermath of iUNGO’s agreement with the Accra Basketball League (ABL).

ABL games will be streamed on the iUNGO platform as part of the deal to draw a wider audience to the league.

ABL Director Alex Kukula and ABL Chairman Ayitey Bulley were present at the announcement of the deal.

“Iungo is a Latin word that means connect, so, connect the world. With this big collaboration with the ABL…this is a huge opportunity for all of us to be able to have sports in the ecosystem.

Being able to start by showing ABL games worldwide in a condensed market where its sports-based only, is something that I think the world has been waiting for a long time.”

In 2022, the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) struck a similar deal with iUNGO.
