Former West Ham United player Anton Ferdinand, has passed on some advice to Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus in the wake of the latter’s arrival at the London club.
Kudus joined West Ham earlier this week on a five year deal worth 38 million pounds from Ajax Amsterdam. Kudus spent three seasons at Ajax.
Speaking in an interview with the 23 year old player on the Iron Cast Podcast, Anton, the younger brother of Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, praised Kudus’ honest answer to his mindset in the heat of transfer negotiations between West Ham and Ajax and went on to dish a few wise words.
“I think your honesty you showed in that interview is something that our fans here will love in you as a footballer. I think any new player who comes to this fantastic football club should know that, you work hard first, you play second, which sounds like you, you work hard, play second and you will entertain the fans and when you do that the fans will love you forever.”
Kudus will wear the jersey number 14 at West Ham and is the third Black Stars player to play for the Hammers.
