Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah is still eligible to play for Ghana despite receiving a call up to England’s National Men’s Football Team.

Despite the call up, the 24 year old didn’t feature in England’s 1-1 draw with Ukraine in a 2024 Euros qualifier or in England’s 3-1 win over Scotland in an international friendly.

In the draw with Ukraine, Nketiah didn’t even make the match day squad for the Three Lions despite England manager Gareth Southgate naming three goalkeepers in the squad. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Against Scotland, Nketiah was an unused substitute and watched on as Harry Kane, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham scored for England.

Nketiah was born in England to Ghanaian parents and has been heavily courted by Ghana Football Association (GFA) and associates close to the GFA to play for the Black Stars.

However, the former England Under 21 player decided to represent England internationally at the senior level recently after accepting an invitation.

He termed the choice over Ghana as a natural progression for his career; Nketiah has two goals in five games this season. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
