Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah has expressed his disappointment in the wake of Olympique Lyon’s latest loss in the French Ligue 1.
Lyon lost 1-4 to Paris Saint-Germain just before the international break at its Groupama Stadium that marked the third loss for the club in four games this season.
Nuamah made his Lyon debut in the loss as he played 76 minutes as a starter; the 19 year old joined Lyon in the just closed transfer window on a one year loan deal with an obligation for Lyon to buy.
After failing to register its first win of the season, Lyon fans were irate and vented their frustration at the Lyon players after the game. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“Disappointing debut but this first stumbles don’t define the whole mission & goal. The fans & this beautiful city deserves better. Soon the Lyon will Roar” he wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
Nuamah is preparing to compete in Ghana’s Black Stars 2023 AFCON qualifier against Central African Republic on September 7 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ghana needs a win or a draw to secure qualification to the 2023 Cote D’Ivoire.
