Dreams Football Club Administrative Manager Ameenu Shardow says his club’s second round win over FC Kallon is a positive step and the club will draw encouragement from it but could have gone in a different direction.
He said this in an exclusive chat on Citi FM’s Sports Panorama after Dreams scored a 2-1 win over Sierra Leone’s FC Kallon in the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Dreams registered the win in the first of two legs earlier today; Dreams beat Milo FC 3-2 on aggregate in the first round.
“This game was probably the biggest game in our 14 year history. We’ve never played at this level before…in the first round, we accounted for Milo and now we are playing against the biggest club in Sierra Leone. We are happy with the result.
To play through this situation and get a win I think is very positive and will draw a lot of encouragement from it. The game could have gone in a different direction but we managed to pick the vital win.”
