Black Stars winger, Joseph Paintsil will not be available for Ghana’s final AFCON Qualifier against the Central African Republic on Thursday, after picking up an injury.
The Genk player has been granted permission by the technical team to return to his club in Belgium for further assessment and treatment.
Paintsil sustained the injury in the last period of his League game against Anderlecht on Sunday and was later substituted, forcing him to withdraw from Thursday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic.
This leaves Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton with 24 players ahead of the match.
Meanwhile, The team arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday and held their 2nd training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the evening.
