Black Stars Centre-back Alexander Djiku hit a sublime volley for Fernebache in the round 7 contest against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish League.

The Ghanaian got off to the mark as early as the fifth minute with an amazing volley after the opportunity was presented to him from a corner kick.

It marks Djiku’s first goal for the season in seven matches for Fenerbache since joining from Strasbourg SC from the French Ligue 1.

After his early goal, the Ghanaian put on a show and finished the game with a rating of 8.1.

The Black Stars defender has made six appearances for Fernerbache SK and has established himself as a key man for the team.

He also featured in Ghana’s final AFCON qualifier game against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where Ghana booked qualification to next year’s AFCON tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.
