Football legend Asamoah Gyan has taken a different outlook on Mohammed Kudus’ limited playing time since joining West Ham United.

Despite impressing since moving to the Hammers, the former Ajax Amsterdam player is yet to have an extensive run in the team drawing a lot of frustration from fans.

This comes on the back of Kudus scoring his third goal for West Ham but first in an English Premier League tie in the Hammers 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.

Kudus came off the bench in the 76th minute to replace goal scorer Tomas Soucek and proceeded to grab the equalizer in the 89th minute with a fine strike.

Using his slow start to life in the English Premier League with Sunderland under Steve Bruce after joining from French Ligue 1 side Rennes, Gyan indicated on his X (formerly Twitter) page that West Ham manager David Moyes is managing Kudus well by easing him into the team.

“The coach is managing him very well. I think the coach is convinced if he wants to start him in a premier league game.”

“I had the same situation when I moved to Sunderland. Fans didn’t understand why a record signing player should be coming on as a sub and kept proving himself.”

“Steve Bruce made me understand that he didn’t want to put to (o) much pressure on me and that the right moment will come. It came and I took it.”

Gyan scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for Sunderland.
