Tariq Lamptey: Brighton defender misses latest Post 2022 World Cup Black Stars game

Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has confirmed four players including Brighton and Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey will miss upcoming international friendly games.

The friendly game against Mexico and USA on October and 18 respectively will be played in the United States with three replacements already named.

On the other hand, Lamptey will miss yet another Black Stars game and continues a streak of absences for the Black Stars.

After committing to play international football for Ghana, the English born Lamptey played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup including Ghana’s 3-2 win over South Korea.

However, Lamptey has since missed games against Angola (twice), Madagascar, Central African Republic and Liberia due to injuries.

The 23 year old missed Brighton’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool after playing the entire duration of Brighton’s 2-2 draw with Olympique Marseille in the Europa League.
