Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton is looking forward to life competing in the 2023 AFCON after the conclusion of the official draw for Africa’s flagship tournament.

In an interview on the Ghana Football Association’s official media channel, Hughton talked extensively about getting drawn against record AFCON winners Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

The former Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion coach touched on what lies ahead for his team saying,

“We know the competition is high and we know to do well, there will have to be a lot of factors that go our way but the biggest factor is preparation and performance and it’s impossible to do well in this tournament unless you perform well.”
