US National Men’s Football Team head coach Gregg Berhalter has praised his team for beating a “very talented” Ghanaian side in an international friendly game.

The US beat Ghana 4-0 at the Geodis Park on October 18 in Nashville to confidently bounce back after losing 1-3 to Germany in a previous friendly.

Speaking in a post game interview, Berhalter was happy with his team’s performance especially in the first half that produced all four goals in 22 minutes despite playing against a team with notable players.

“You need to be professional. You need to win these games and we did that and that’s the important thing. Ghana has a ton of talent, when you look at their roster they have Champions League players, Premier League players and it’s a strong roster so you have to be able to beat the teams that you face.”
