Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has scored his debut goal for Leicester City in The Foxes latest win in the English Championship.
Issahaku scored the second goal in Leicester’s 3-1 win over Swansea City to maintain its lead atop the standings. Leicester holds a five point lead over second ranked Ipswich Town with the latter set to play eighth ranked Bristol City on October 25.
Leicester conceded in the 20th minute but battled hard to earn the win by getting goals from Jannik Vestergaard in the 44th minute, Issahaku in the 63rd minute and Kelechi Iheanacho in the 87th minute.
19 year old Issahaku swept home a cross from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall into the top of the net after Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi allowed the cross to roll between his legs.
Issahaku, who is on loan from Sporting Lisbon, took a touch inside the penalty box to set himself up before striking the ball into the net.
The Under 20 AFCON winner has a goal and an assist in nine games this season in all competitions.
