League performance hasn’t reflected what Hearts of Oak board has done- Togbe Afede XIV

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Executive Board Chairman, Togbe Afede XIV, has lamented the team’s poor start to the 2023-2024 Betpawa Premier League season.

Hearts SC has recorded just four points from four league games after beating Nsoatreman FC 1-0 but losing by the same margin to Real Tamale United and Bofoakwa Tano.

In the last round of league games, Hearts drew goalless with Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium adding to the frustrations of a fan base that watched the Rainbow club finish 12th last season.

Speaking at the club’s annual general meeting, Togbe Afede XIV reflected on the impact of the team’s poor performance.

“I think that Hearts is on a good course the outlook is very good. Its unfortunate the performance so far in the current league has not reflected what this board has done.”

Togbe Afede XIV

“Very soon am sure we will be able to deliver and we will all be happy but in any case we are on the right course.”

Hearts play Kpando Heart of Lions on Sunday, October 15.
