“Motive is to inculcate education into career of young footballers” – Samuel Inkoom after launching SIFMA

Former Ghana international player Samuel Inkoom successfully launched his football management agency dubbed the S-Inkoom Football Management Agency in Accra, on October 28, 2023, at the Kempinski Hotel.

The fast-rising agency is to contribute to the development of the game in the country starting with identifying young footballers and nurturing them into superstars.

Despite the fact that Inkoom’s agency was just formed and registered earlier this year, the licensed FIFA intermediary has already negotiated juicy contracts and found soccer teams for a number of professional Ghanaian footballers.

The 34-year-old is well connected in the global soccer space having played for teams in Europe such as FC Basel in Switzerland, Dnipro in Ukraine, Bastia of France, Platanias in Greece and DC United in the USA.

His talent also took him to Portugal where he was on the roster of Boavista before Antalyaspor in Turkey came for him.

In Ghana, Samuel Inkoom counts the two biggest football clubs as his former teams; Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking at the sidelines of the successful event launched in Accra, Inkoom expressed optimism his agency will yield good fruits with respect to fishing out the best talents not just in Ghana, but across Africa.

He added that, the most important aspect in the career of up and coming footballers, is to be educated, and that is the agency’s priority for young talents.

“Yes, this is the main motive because it is not just about playing football.”

“Sometimes you never know, a player can just sign a contract he has less information about and then he ends up in trouble.”

“Our agency is to help understand the contract they intend to sign and what the benefits will be.”

“It is why I used myself [Samuel Inkoom] as an example because before you do something, you have to get some advice from a lawyer or someone.”

“So that is the main reason why I launched this agency”

The colourful event had top football personalities present to grace the occasion.

Ghana’s Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, former Black Stars midfielder & U20 World Cup Winner, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, General Secretary of the Professional Writers Association of Ghana, Anthony Baffoe, Accra Hearts of Oak’s Board Chairman, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe, together with Frank Nelson Nwokolo and others were all present to support Inkoom’s latest initiative.

This rich experience amassed from Samuel Inkoom’s journey around the world gives the S-Inkoom Football Management Agency an edge over other competitors.

It is the main reason Inkoom believes this soccer firm can become one of the best football agencies in Africa and the world at large.

Samuel Inkoom was a member of Ghana’s squad that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009 before becoming a regular for the Black Stars.

The right-back was a member of the Black Stars squads for the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, held in South Africa and Brazil, respectively.
