Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club striker Steven Mukwala has welcomed competition from fellow striker Kalo Ouattara and has gone on to describe the competition as a “healthy” one.

He said this in an interview with Kotoko’s official media channel in the lead up to Kotoko’s BetPawa Premier League game against Bechem United on Sunday, October 29.

The Ugandan striker touched on several issues including what scoring his debut goal this season means to him. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Despite struggling early this season and seeing Ouattara score two winning goals, Mukwala welcomed the competition brings to the table.

“He is an amazing striker as well. Always a team has to be with competition which is healthy so I think so I think our competition is really healthy.”

“If I’m not in good shape, he is ready to deliver for the team. If he’s not in good shape, I think I can also play that part so basically it has been a good healthy competition.”

Kotoko’s heads to the Bechem tie ranked seventh while Bechem sits 13th in the 18 team league standings.
