Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has signed a one year contract extension with English Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The extension was announced today with the Eagles also announcing the extension of goalkeeper Sam Johnstone’s contract.

Prior to the announcement, the younger brother of free agent Ghanaian forward Andre Dede Ayew, was set to run down his contract once the 2023-2024 season concludes.

With the rejigged contract terms, Jordan Ayew is set to stay with the London side beyond this campaign and end on June 30, 2025.

32 year old Ayew, has been one of Crystal Palace’s best performers this season as Roy Hodgson’s side battles serious injuries to Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise.

Ayew was named as Palace’s Player of the Month in August and delivered a standout performance in Palace’s 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
