Karela United head coach Shaibu Tanko Ibrahim is confident that “times will surely change” for the team as the Tamale based team goes through an eight game winless run.
The Karela trainer communicated this in his post game presser after seeing his side lose 2-1 to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium earlier today.
Lions’ Yahaya Mohammed scored first in the game before Samuel Attah Kumi came off the bench to equalize for Karela but Ali Mohammed scored deep in stoppage time to give Lions a win after drawing 1-1 with Bibiani Gold Stars in the previous round.
Speaking in the post game presser, coach Ibrahim maintained his strong belief that his side will turn its poor form around soon.
“It will definitely change with time because even though time isn’t on our side, these are the players we have at the moment and we have to make due with them.”
“Times will surely change. That is what I can say for now. Definitely things will change next week (against Aduana Stars).”
Karela’s last win was a 3-1 win over Berekum Chelsea on September 24; the team has recorded six draws and a 2-3 loss to Real Tamale United and a 1-2 loss to Accra Lions.
