Before the new deal was put together, Ayew was set to be a free agent on June 30, 2024.
After spending a season on loan at Selhurst Park in the 2018-2019 season, Jordan Ayew has been with Palace on a full time basis since the 2019-2020 season.
Should he play out his current deal, the former Sochaux player would have spent seven seasons with the club and easily making him one of the longest tenured Ghanaian players in the English Premier League.
Reacting to news of his new contract, the son of football legend Abedi Ayew stated,
“I’m so happy to have extended my stay with this special club again. This is my home and I’m really proud to wear our shirt.”
“Thank you to the boss Roy (Hodgson), Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman & all the staff for the trust they’ve had in me since I arrived. Back to work” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Crystal Palace plays lowly ranked Burnley on Saturday, November 4 at 15:00 GMT.
