CAF CONFED Cup: Dreams FC coach pins fatigue on tight schedule

Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito

Dreams Football Club head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has pinned fatigue that kicked in his team’s 2-1 win over Rivers United on a tight schedule his outfit is dealing with.

He said this in a post game interview after Dreams’ 2-0 win over the Nigerian side in the Group Stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams secured its first ever win at the group stage of the continental championship at the Baba Yara Stadium and in addressing his team’s drop in intensity from the 67th minute, coach Zito stated,

“We were tired and I know why we were tired because when you look at the events, because of certain reasons we came (to Kumasi) yesterday, we have to train… so it wasn’t easy for these young ones so you are totally right. They were tired during that period.”

The win puts Dreams FC third in Group C due to an inferior goal difference to second ranked Rivers and is scheduled to play Angola’s Academia Petroleos do Lobito on December 10 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
