“Super Proud” Inaki Williams ranks fifth in La Liga scorers list; bags seventh goal [VIDEO]

Ghana Black Stars forward Inaki Williams says he is super proud of Athletic Bilbao’s 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in the latest round of La Liga games in the 2023-2024 season.

He said this in a post game interview with Bilbao’s official media channel after scoring in the big win to rank fifth in the La Liga scorer’s list.

The 29 year old is having a brilliant campaign with 10 goal contributions overall in 15 games; Williams and seven other players including Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski have scored seven goals in the league.

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann lead the way with 11 and nine goals respectively.

Speaking after recording the big win, Williams said, “There was a great effort from everyone”

“We have been superior today and we have left with a clean sheet which is very important to have. I am super happy super proud. The players I am sure they will feel happy today.”

Inaki’s, brother Nico, got on the score sheet in the game rounding up an impressive result that keeps Bilbao fifth in the league standings.
