Ghana forward Jordan Ayew’s dismissal from the game between Crystal Palace and Liverpool continues to generate debate.
The veteran forward was sent off in the 75th minute after receiving two yellow cards in Palace’s 1-2 loss to Liverpool at Selhurst Park.
Liverpool scored a minute after Ayew was sent off through Mohammed Salah and Harvey Elliot scored the winner in added on time to send Liverpool to the top of the standings.

“The sending-off… it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for us. They go and score straight after and understandably it’s backs against the ropes” Matthews said.
“It’s sad because we were 1-0 up and we conceded two goals in the end” Mateta said as he reflected on his debut league goal of the season didn’t lead to a win for Palace.”
Palace plays Man City next on December 16; Palace is set to lose Ayew to Ghana Black Stars 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote D’Ivoire.
