The Ghana Goalball team has won a bronze medal at the just-ended 2023 IBSA Goalball African Championships in Egypt.
Ghana’s Male and Female teams made it to the semi-finals of the competition; the female team played against Egypt while the male team took on Algeria.
In the female division, Ghana lost 13 – 3 and in the men’s division, Algeria beat Ghana 10-0 to progress to the final of the competition.
Egypt Male Goalball Team by Algeria 4-3 but in the female division, Egypt 12-2 to Algeria to split gold medals with Ghana finishing third in both categories.
This year’s edition of the IBSA Goalball AFrican Champiopnship commenced on December 8 with all games held at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Egypt’s capital, Cairo.
