Dreams Football Club head coach Abdul Karim Zito says midfielder Aziz Abdul Issah’s brilliant long range strike reminded him of former Dreams FC player Fatawu Issahaku.
He said this after Dreams beat Academica do Lobito 4-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup to register its third win in four games in Group C. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
Issah delivered a Man of The Match Award winning type of performance in the big win by scoring a goal and assisting another.
19 year old Issah scored Dreams FC’s third from the midfield area catching Lobito goalkeeper Lopes de Almeida off his line in what has become Leicester City FC winger Issahaku’s trademark.
Issahaku, who is on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has scored a handful of goals from very long distance during his time with Dreams FC and Ghana’s National Under 20 side.
Coach Zito recognized the similarity between Issah’s goal and Issahaku long range strikes while praising his performance saying, “This boy is versatile. I can use him at the left side, I can use him on the right side so today I changed his role and then you saw it.”
“He was very versatile going everywhere freely and then look at the marvelous goal he scored; he made me remember my old boy Fatawu.”
In his debut season with Leicester, Issahaku has produced two goals and five assists in 19 games in all competitions.
