Thomas-Asante scores winner for West Brom ahead of debut Black Stars camp [VIDEO]

Newly recruited London born Ghanaian player Solomon Brandon Michael Clarke Thomas-Asante has scored his seventh goal of the 2023-2024 season in the Sky Bet Championship as he prepares to honour his debut Ghana Black Stars invitation.

The 24 year old scored in West Bromwich Albion’s 1-0 win over Norwich City on the Boxing Day round of games in England’s second tier club football competition.

Thomas Asante scored the winner in the 50th minute off a Grady Diangana assist to move to fifth place in the 24 league table.

The Milton Keynes forward has two assists to his credit in the league for the season and has eight goals in 22 games in all competitions.

Thomas-Asante had two shots on target and complete six of seven accurate passes but missed on five duels with three of such duels coming on the ground while lasting the entire duration of the game.

He is expected to feature in West Brom’s big matchup against Leeds United on Friday, December 29 before moving to Johannesburg, South Africa to join the Black Stars camp ahead of the 2023 AFCON. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Thomas-Asante was named in the 55 man provisional squad for the tournament after committing to play international football at the senior level for Ghana.
