Aiming to stay atop GPL standings till the end of first round- Aduana Stars coach

Aduana Stars head coach, Yaw Acheampong, says his team’s target is to end the first round of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season on top of the standings.

He said this after Aduana bagged its ninth win in 15 games by scoring a 1-0 win over Bechem United on Match Day 15 at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park.

The win moved Aduana to the top of the 18 team league standings with 27 points from winning nine games and losing six games.

Samartex and Berekum Chelsea rank second and third tied on 26 points behind Aduana Stars ahead of Aduana’s game against regional rival Nsoatreman FC.

“That has been our dream to be there (on top of the league) to the end of the first round so let’s how the other games go then we can see what to do next. Our next game is against Nsoatre.”

The game against Nsoatreman is scheduled for Friday, December 22; In its debut season in the Ghanaian top flight, Nsoatreman ranks fifth heading into the tie.
