Joao Felix scored the winner for Barcelona against Atletico on Sunday in La Liga and was happy to celebrate against his parent club.
The Portugal international certainly wasn’t interested in an infamous muted celebration and said he simply let it all out at Montjuic.
“Only the people close to me know what I have lived,” he said.
“I just let it go, for everything that happened for me and my family. That’s for me and my team-mates and Barca who have welcomed me.”
Felix also spoke about what it was like to face his former team and his winning goal which came in the first half.
“We knew it was a very important game, a very hard game, it’s never easy against Atletico. It was a very big win for us,” he said.
“Yes of course I had an extra motivation, to see my former team-mates they’ve always helped me. It was a special game but I’m happy with the win.
“I know I received Rapha’s pass and then I think it was the only way to score, to go over Oblak. I was happy with it.”
There’s no doubt it’s a great moment for Felix, although you suspect Atletico fans really won’t want him back after seeing him thoroughly enjoying scoring against Simeone’s side.
