Head coach of Berekum Chelsea Football Club, Christopher Ennin, has expressed his profound disappointment over officiating in his team’s 0-1 loss to Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.
He said this in an interview after the result condemned Chelsea to its fifth loss of the season and ranked sixth in the Ghana Premier League standings.
Kotoko on the other hand, move up to the seventh place with 19 points and is just a point short of Chelsea’s point tally. Kotoko striker Steven Mukwala got the only goal of the game in the 41st minute.
Speaking after the game, Ennin said, “It’s quite a good game but I don’t normally talk about officiating but the referee did not make the game the way its supposed to go. It’s bad. In fact I’ve never spoken about officiating but it’s very bad.”
Ennin further highlighted the lack of discipline in his team’s loss, saying, “I really don’t know what is really happening; tactically indiscipline was part of it.”
Berekum Chelsea plays Accra Great Olympics next on Sunday, December 10 at 15:00 GMT.
