Jordan Ayew, Richard Ofori join Black Stars Camp after missing Day One of training

After missing the opening day of training camp, Black Stars players Jordan Ayew and Richard Ofori have joined the team’s camp base in Kumasi. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The duo trained with the team on Day 2 of the 10 day training camp at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.

Jordan Ayew is one of the few experienced heads in the squad and is coming off a productive run with Crystal Palace with the 32 year old scoring two goals and adding five assists in 19 Premier League games.

Richard Ofori has been inactive in the South African League with Orlando Pirates but has made three appearances in the CAF Champions League keeping two clean sheets in the process.

The Black Stars are preparing to compete in the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire and have been paired in Group B with Egypt, Mozambique and Cape Verde.

Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team is scheduled to play a friendly game against Namibia before taking on Cape Verde in its opening 2023 AFCON game on January 14.
