The 23-year-old experienced tightness in his hamstring following West Ham’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium that had kept him away from the Ghana camp days.
Kudus was originally expected to join the team’s base last week but had a week’s delay due to the hamstring injury which is feared to hamper his impact during the tournament.
The former Ajax star also missed Ghana’s stale goalless draw with Namibia.
Ghana is in Group B at the 2023 AFCON with Cape Verde, Egypt and Mozambique and kicks off its campaign with a game against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14 at 20:00 GMT.
