Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team, the Black Stars, are set to play against defending FIFA World Cup champions Argentina in March.
The Black Stars matchup against Argentina is set to be an international friendly game played in the first quarter this season.
This is according to sports journalist Juan Arango and former Ecuadorian footballer Hernan S Castillo who works as a journalist since his retirement.
The Black Stars have fared quite poorly in recent friendly games with Ghana losing to USA and Mexico while drawing goalless with Namibia and beating lowly ranked Liberia 3-1.
The reported tie against the Black Stars is one of two friendly games lined up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winners with another friendly game set against China.
Arguably the greatest player of all time, Argentina captain, Lionel Messi is in line to play against Ghana in the reported high profile matchup.
Ghana and China are involved in continental championships with Ghana involved in the 2023 AFCON while China is competing in the Asian Cup.
The Black Stars have just a point two games into this year’s AFCON ahead of a crucial game against Mozambique on Monday, January 22 at 20:00 GMT.
Looks like @argentina is getting things set to play China and Ghana in March. Details are still pending and these are the two currently in the pole position to face the champs.
