Despite giving up two leads to miss out on a win and bagging three points, Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori believes Ghana’s chances of qualifying to the next round of the 2023 AFCON are in still in play.

He said this in a post game interview after Ghana drew 2-2 with Egypt in its second game at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

Ghana needed a win over Egypt to get into a comfortable position ahead of its Group B final game against Mozambique after losing 1-2 to Cape Verde in its opening game of the tournament.

However, Ofori is adamant Ghana can still make it to the round of 16 stage even after seeing the Black Stars concede off defensive errors saying,

“We are still in, we still have a chance” and addressed the defensive errors saying “We move as a team, mistakes happen in a game. Unfortunately we conceded.”

For the second game in a row, a member of the Black Stars was named as the Man of the Match Award winner with Mohammed Kudus picking up the award for his performance against Egypt.
