Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey says Black Stars teammates Inaki Williams and Osman Bukari will be fine after committing errors in a crucial game against Egypt at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

Williams and Bukari’s errors led directly to goals for Egypt as Ghana drew 2-2 with The Pharaohs in the second round of games for both teams.

Inaki Williams’ poor back pass led to Omar Marmoush’s equalizer in the 69th minute and Kudus Mohammed’s second goal put Ghana back up in the 71st minute.

However, Bukari failed to clear his lines and Mahmoud Trezeguet nicked the ball off him and squared the ball for Mohammed Moustapha to slot into the net in the 74th minute.

As a veteran presence in the team, Daniel Amartey had some encouraging words for his teammates particularly Bukari who was subbed off after subbing into the game for Williams in the 73rd minute. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I think they will be fine. It’s not easy. I know they we feel bad people will talk to them to not worry but when you are alone in your room, it’s not easy. I think they will be fine. I told they can think (about the error) but not too much.”
