Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Ofori hasn’t exactly endeared himself to Black Stars fans after delivering another shaky performance in what could be Ghana’s last game at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

Ofori needlessly touched the ball off a shot that was heading out of play from a mishit attempt from a corner kick that led to another corner kick for Mozambique in the 93rd minute.

From the resultant corner kick, Reinildo Mandava scored to tie the game at 2-2 and wipe out Ghana’s two goal lead that was established through two converted penalties from Jordan Ayew.

Prior to the disastrous touch and role in the goal that might end up dumping Ghana out of the AFCON for the second edition in a row, Ofori displayed poor reflexes on catch attempts from corner kicks.

Due to the 2-2 draw with Mozambique, Ghana has amassed just two points from three games and rank third in Group B but is in a perilous position to miss out on one of the top four third placed teams in the competition.
