Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has pointed to the team’s loss in concentration as the reason for the team’s disappointing 2-2 draw with Mozambique.

He said in his post game presser after Ghana threw away a 2-0 lead to concede twice in four minutes after the 90th minute. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The draw means Ghana has two points with a goal difference of (-1) that keeps the Black Stars out of the top four ranked third placed teams in the competitions.

Barring a shocking round of results that includes three contenders losing their last game at the group stage, Ghana will be eliminated at the group stage for the second edition in a row.

For Kudus, who won his second Man of the Match Award in the tournament, the draw came about due to a loss in focus.

“We lost the game by losing concentration in the last minutes, like against Egypt too. We showed lots of qualities here but losing focus at the end cost us. It’s a big disappointment for us.”

West Ham ace Kudus scored two goals in two games at the 2023 AFCON.
