Black Stars forward Andre Dede Ayew isn’t getting carried away by the late game exploits delivered in Le Havre’s 3-3 draw with Lorient in the French Ligue 1.

Speaking on the game that had the Black Stars captain score twice late to rescue a point for Le Havre, Ayew reflected on the team’s position as a major reason to not get carried away but rather stay grounded and focus on the upcoming game against AS Monaco.

“We need to stay calm and keep our feet on the ground. We need to keep pushing because we are still not safe. I thought that we would be smiling after the match but we are not far from survival. Today we picked a point away from home and we will see what we can do at Monaco.”

Le Havre ranks 11th in the 18 team league standings after picking up five wins, eight draws and six losses ahead of Sunday, February 4 matchup against Monaco.
