Ghana defender Alidu Seidu has revealed that he had no hesitation to sign for Stade Rennes when the opportunity came up.
He said this in his introductory interview after completing an 11 million euro, four year deal from fellow French Ligue 1 side Clermont Foot.
The 23 year old was involved in negotiations during his time away from club football due to his participation in the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.
Seidu played just once in Ghana’s three game outing in the competition as the Black Stars crashed out of the tournament at the group stage.
Speaking in the interview, Seidu talked about having little hesitation over joining Rennes saying, “Frankly, when I had this opportunity, I didn’t hesitate once I knew that it was Rennes”
“Rennes is a big club that can help me progress a lot. It’s a club where players progress so I didn’t hesitate to say yes.”
In 14 Ligue 1 games this season, Seidu has an assist while living up to his reputation as an aggressive hard tackler by picking up five yellow cards and a red card.
