Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has provided a positive update on Jordan Ayew’s readiness to start in tonight’s English Premier League game against Sheffield United.
The game kicks off at 20:00 GMT at Selhurst Park and is set to mark Jordan Ayew’s return to club football after featuring in the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire for Ghana.
Jordan Ayew returned to Palace after Ghana’s elimination and according to Hodgson, the former Swansea City forward is good to start against The Blades.
“He’s back. The thing about Jordan is he’s not been away injured, he’s been away playing for his national team. He’s come back in good shape and ready to play so he’s available from the start” Hodgson said in a pre game presser.
Ayew played in all three games in Group B at the 2023 AFCON for Ghana’s Black Stars and registered two goals and an assist.
However, Ghana failed to progress to the round of 16 stage after failing to win a game; Ghana drew 2-2 with Mozambique and Egypt but lost 1-2 to Cape Verde.
