National Sports Authority (NSA) Director General, Professor Peter Twumasi, has lost his bid to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a parliamentary candidate in the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

Mensah Dapaah polled 357 ballots in the race while contenders Lawyer Kwasi Kwakye Sebeh polled 84 ballots and Adwoa Adutwumwaa polled 48 ballots.
However, Professor Twumasi failed to poll double digit ballots as his bid to represent the NPP fell flat with just seven ballots.
