Ghana midfielder Edmund Addo has joined Serbian league side Radnicki Niš on loan from fellow Serbian league side Red Star Belgrade.

The loan move is due to expire at the end of the 2023-2024 season and ends Addo’s horror time with the Serbian giant.

Radnicki ranks last from bottom in the 16 team Serbian league standings with four wins, five assists and 10 losses in 19 league games.

On the other hand, Red Star rank second in the league behind bitter rival Partizan Belgrade; Red Star have 46 points while Partizan have 47 points.

Addo failed to play any competitive game for Red Star after joining the team in the main transfer window in 2023.

His extensive lack of playing time played a key role in Addo’s absence from the 2023 AFCON Black Stars squad.

Ghana failed to win any of three games at the 2023 AFCON and crashed out of the tournament in the first round for the second AFCON edition in a row.

23 year old defensive midfielder Addo burst on the scene with his brilliant performances for Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Champions League.
