Ghana forward Jordan Ayew scored his third goal of the 2023-2024 English Premier League season with a stunning strike.

Ayew’s goal, which is his first since returning to Palace after competing at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire for Ghana, earned Palace a 1-1 draw with Everton. Ghana crashed out of the tournament in the first round.

The goal, scored in the 66th minute, was canceled out by Everton midfielder Amadou Onana who rose highest to nod in a header.

Jordan Ayew controlled the ball off a Jean-Philippe Mateta pass and proceeded to rifle the ball past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford into the right side of the post.

Ayew scored the goal in front of new Palace manager Oliver Glasner who took over from Roy Hodgson after the latter stepped down from his role due to illness.

Former Frankfurt manager Glasner watched the game from the stands after being confirmed as manager earlier in the day.

Jordan has three goals and five assists in 23 EPL games this season ahead of Palace’s game fellow strugglers Burnley on Saturday, February 24 at 15:00 GMT.
