Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman has given a positive update about his health status after being hospitalized following a collision.

The left full back was involved in a nasty collision that ended up with the former Reading FC player collapsing on the pitch during extra time of PAOK’s Greek Cup semifinal clash against Panathinaikos.

He needed immediate medical attention to regain consciousness before being rushed to the hospital.

However, Rahman has delivered a strong message about his medical state by posting a message on his X (formerly Twitter) page saying,

“Hello, just wanted to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes in the last 12 or so hours. Thankfully I’m recovering well and scans have shown no major damage. I’d like to also say a big thank you to Georgios Vagiannidis for personally checking in on me at the hospital. It was a tough night but I’d be back running up and down again soon.”

Rahman is competing in his first season with Greek side PAOK and has three goals and two assists in 18 league games.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club excused himself from the Black Stars 2023 AFCON campaign in Cote D’Ivoire.
