Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe is deeply hurt by the team’s elimination from the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.

She said this after the Queens drew 3-3 with Zambia in the second leg of the penultimate round of qualifiers for the upcoming Olympics.

The draw had Zambia progress to the next stage and setup a matchup against Morocco via a 4-3 win over Ghana on aggregate.

Ghana was primed to progress to the next round leading into the final minutes as the Black Queens held a 3-2 lead.

However, Cudjoe got sent off after receiving a second yellow card and Zambia captain Barbra Banda scored from the resultant free kick in the 96th minute to put Zambia through to the next stage.

Reacting to the loss, Cudjoe said, “Last night will hurt for a while. As our Olympics journey comes to an end…I’m so proud of the work we have done so far and believe in what is ahead for us.”
