Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil has bid farewell to KRC Genk after sealing a transfer move to Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.

Paintsil completed the four year deal after passing his medicals in the American city recently where he is expected to be one of the high profile players on the roster as a player with a “designated” status.

In his farewell message to the Belgian team he joined from Turkish side Ankaragucu, Paintsil reflected on his productive and successful run with the team.

In the 2023-2024 season, Paintsil has six goals and four assists in 23 Jupiler Pro League games after producing 14 goals and 14 assists in 30 league games.

“Dear Genkies, It’s difficult to put into words the impact this club had had on my life…tis club has been my home, my sanctuary, and my family. Your support and guidance have been instrumental in my growth, both as a player and as a person” a portion of the statement read.
