Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara says he welcomes criticisms on his work especially from sports journalists.
He said this after Hearts’ 2-1 win over Kpando Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to maintain its unbeaten start under the Ivorian coach who took over as head coach ahead of the start of the second half of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.
Linda Mtange and Salim Adams scored for Hearts in the second half after The Phobians conceded a Mustapha Yakubu free kick in the first half.
Addressing the reason for playing Adams in a more advanced role, coach Ouattara said,
“Sometimes I listen to the journalists. I listen and I take decisions because the criticism is good for me I need more criticism to make changes that is why I put this boy (Adams) today in the front.”
Hearts of Oak have moved to seventh place in the standings level on points (32) with arch rival Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians take on league leaders FC Samartex next on Friday, March 22.
