Otto Addo can bring out the quality in my game – Jerome Opoku

Black Stars defender Jerome Opoku says Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is the right man to get the best out of him.

He said this in his interview after Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Nigeria in an international friendly game in Morocco that had Opoku sent off in the 56th minute.

The 6 foot 4 inch defender was dismissed for an apparent dissent towards the referee forcing Ghana to play much of the second half with 10 men.

Addressing the issue, Opoku said it was miscommunication that led to his dismissal while Otto Addo called on the Istanbul Basaksehir player who is on loan from Portuguese league side Arouca to learn from the mistake. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

On the subject of improving his performances for Ghana, Opoku indicated that Otto Addo is the right man to bring out the quality in his game.

“It’s (my performance today) something for me to build on and keep learning. I think this coach, he wants to play football. Me I like to play football, I’m not just going long, kick it long, so I can bring out the quality of my game under the coach.”
