The Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA) has officially distanced itself from remarks made by Seidu Ajanako following Ghana’s loss to Morocco in the ongoing African Games.

Ghana’s defeat, which occurred in two consecutive sets during the quarterfinals of the men’s beach volleyball event on Wednesday morning, led to their elimination from the competition.

Prior to the encounter with the North Africans, Ghana had secured victories in their initial four matches of the event.

However, following the loss, Ajanako, one of Ghana’s players, voiced grievances regarding the team’s lack of protective socks, attributing blisters to this issue.

Contrary to Ajanako’s statements, the GVA has refuted these concerns. In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the Association explicitly disavowed the player’s comments, asserting that the team’s defeat was against an ‘equally good side’.
