Kpando Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has seemingly blamed windy conditions for his team’s 2-0 loss to Accra Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League.

The GPL matchup was played out at the WAFA Park with Olympics’ forward Yusif Abdul Razak scoring a brace to settle the tie. Razak scored in the sixth and 63rd minute respectively.

After picking up a big win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the previous round that had coach Hayford brag about his impressive record against the Porcupine Warriors, Hayford blamed the natural elements for the loss in the post game interview. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“The performance wasn’t bad only that I told you from the beginning that the only disadvantage is the wind. It is very difficult to play against the wind and even for the wind. The second goal, it (the ball) bounced and changed position. It’s difficult but I think the boys have done very well…we played very well.”
